Tim Moore

Tim Moore was born in 1946 in Worthing. He began his career working for Plessey at Taplow Court. 

In the 1970s he set up Bear Microcomputer Systems in Newbury, Berkshire, named after his nickname 'The Bear'. The Bear 77-68 microcomputer was released in June 1977.

He later ran Kuma Computers, which started in Maidenhead and later moved to Pangbourne in Berkshire.

Apart from the design of computers, physics and electrical engineering, his hobbies included four-wheel-drive off-roading in Land Rovers and Jeeps, horse riding, and amateur radio.
