EACA

EACA International Ltd was a Hong Kong-based electronics manufacturer active during the 1970s and early-1980s. They were founded by Eric Chung, a businessman born in mainland China who crossed the border into the (then) British colony.

EACA produced Pong-style television video games, and later produced a line of computers under the Genie name. These included the Video Genies I, II and III (which were Tandy TRS-80 Model I-compatible) and the Colour Genie.

Just as distributors were promoting a new 16-bit machine in late 1983, the company went bankrupt. Eric Chung was reported to have fled Hong Kong, although there were doubts as to his whereabouts following this.
