Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any worse! We were about to re-open after many months of being closed but then disaster struck when a mains water pipe burst and flooded much of the ground floor of the museum.

Olivetti buy 49% of Acorn Computers

On 20th February 1985, Italian computer giant Olivetti signed a 12 million agreement for a 49% stake in Acorn Computers Ltd. The deal made by Chris Curry and Hermann Hauser allowed Acorn clear its 11 million losses made in the previous six months.
