61022 Cubicles housing the Rank prototype xerographic printer


Description of Photograph

Photograph of the closed cubicles containing the prototype Rank xerographic printer which later became the Xeronic, with an unidentified operator holding one of the 'more than 100 transistorised sub-units'.  According to the printed caption on the reverse, probably text from a trade brochure, 'These two cubicles contain the electronic equipment of the Rank Precision Industries high speed, high quality computer output printer on show for the first time at the Electronic Computer Exhibition at Olympia November 28th/December 4th [1958]'.
