The Dataflex Pocket Gem is a compact "pocket" sized modem, one of the first single-chip designs approved in Europe.

It supports 2,400 bps data transfers and has built-in fax capability.

The modem is built around a modified Rockwell 224AT chip.

Specifications:

  • Data modes: CCITT V.21, V.22, V.22bis
  • Fax modes: CCITT V.29, V.27ter (send 9600bps/receive 4800bps)
  • Protocols: EIA 578 class 1 Group III Fax
  • Interface: V.24 Hayes Compatible
