Hackney Archives

Hackney was part of the North East London Computer Scheme (NELCS) along with the boroughs of Haringey and Tower Hamlets. NELCS had emerged in 1966 out of the London Boroughs Joint Computer Committee (LBJCC) that was formed in 1962 and had developed systems running on a LEO III/94 computer. NELC was managed by the London Boroughs Management Services Unit (LBMSU). NELC/LBMSU continued to run its systems on its own LEO III/94 - 1967 – 1974.

Photos of the LEO III/94 can be found on the Hackney Archives website.
