Based on the famous cartoon series of the same name. The title is notable for it's use of digitised backgrounds, although grainy, they are very impressive for the time. The game itself is a side scrolling fighting platform game, where Lion-O was out on a mission, when the evil Mumm-Ra enters the lair, and kidnaps the rest of the team, and stolen the sacred jewel of the Eye of Thundera, he vows to return the relic and rescue his team from the henchmen of the evil Lord.
