Blast your way through 6 increasingly difficult levels of gameplay infested with every imaginable type of 'nasty' and several unimaginable types as well, to rescue the incarcerated Chronos who has been trapped in a different time dimension by the 'Mystical Dimension Weavers' The Spectrum version polarised critics upon release, with Crash magazine only awarding the game 53%, citing the monochrome graphics as a major problem as bullets could not be seen to be avoided. They also considered the gameplay to be repetitive, with little variation, and only one boss at the end. the only power ups for the craft appear after completing the game once, when you are informed by a very ungrateful Chronos that you will have to fight the battle until death.
