The fourth installment of the Resident Evil series saw a huge change in direction. Gone were the old pre-rendered CGI backgrounds that populated the worlds of the previous games. Resident Evil 4 introduced a fully 3D world and a dynamic camera that floated behind the character's shoulders. The series' hallmark of resource management and survival horror took a bit of a backseat in exchange for more action and zombie blasting.
