Microsoft releases Windows Vista

Windows Vista was a release of Microsoft's Windows operating system. The successor to Windows XP, Windows Vista provided new features including a new graphical user interface and style, improved seach capability, and new multimedia tools such as Windows DVD Maker.

Microsoft released Windows Vista on 30th January 2007. It was available for purchase from Windows Marketplace, the first release of Windows available through digital distribution.
