The 2087 Olympics has been exceptionally competitive and for the first time in 19 years Earth has a chance to win!! As the STAR RUNNER you are Earth's last chance in the gruelling Space Marathon! You have been selected as the Earth's competitor in the 2087 Olympics event, Star Running. Based loosely on the ancient event known as the Marathon, you must run at a fast pace over a long distance. There are many obstacles to impede your progress and when your time runs out your race is terminated. Instead of having a fixed distance to race you must get the highest score possible by covering the greatest distance. The race takes place on a long platform floating in space. Because of the micro-gravity environment you have a pair of electro-switchable magnetic shoes to keep you attached to the metallic surfaces of the platform. When you jump off the platform the shoes switch to hyper-boost mode to pull you back down again. You will find that some surfaces have a high resistance and should be avoided if possible. At all costs avoid the fire pits and the teleport pads but try to pick up the clocks as they will give you extra time.
