Established by David Tresman Caminer to promote the memory of LEO and use revenue from the publication of the McGraw-Hill published books on the LEO story to that end.
The Foundation organised the 50th anniversary conference of the first LEO application at the London Guildhall with sponsorship from the City of London and the Wall Street Journal. The papers presented at the conference were subsequently published by the Journal of Strategic Information Systems in a special edition edited by Professor Robert Galliers.
Members of the Foundation included Peter Hermon (treasurer), Colin Tully, John Aris and Frank and Ralph Land.
Subsequently, after the death of David Caminer, aged 92, the Foundation was merged with the LEO Computers Society. The Society's collection of LEO artefacts is now lodged with The Centre for Computing History and is currently being catalogued and digitised as part of a National Lottery Heritage funded project.Date : Unknown
