Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds
Based on the award winning internationally best selling album by Jeff Wayne and the classic science fiction story by H. G. Wells.
No one would have believed in the last years of the 19th century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. Few even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to us regarded this Earth with envious eyes. And slowly and surely they drew their plans against us.
Based on Jeff Wayne's musical version of The War of the Worlds, which itself is based on H. G. Wells' 1898 novel The War of the Worlds. There are two discs, named Human Disc and Martian Disc.
In 1999, a PlayStation game was released with the same name. It re-uses this 1998 game's graphics and music, but has entirely different gameplay.
With over 60 minutes of Jeff Wayne's original music digitally re-recorded, re-mixed, re-mastered and in Dolby Surround, "The War of the Worlds mysteriously dark and powerful atmosphere is complete.
