The Microcifra 10 was a low-cost scientific calculator produced by FATE, who are better known as an Argentinian tyre manufacturer. In 1969 FATE set up an electronics division, which mostly produced calculators. The Microcifra 10 Cientifica dates from between 1975-76. Allegedly only 50,000 units of the Microcifra 10 Cientifica were produced. However, there is not much information about the calculator as the electronic division of Fate was dissolved after the Civic-Military Coup in March 1976. The calculator has a nine-digit LED display and is powered by six AA batteries. It uses reverse Polish notation entry, and is allegedly the world's second pocket calculator with RPN notation after the HP-35. Manufacturer: FATE This exhibit has a reference ID of CH69971.
