Electronics Lab: Make a Ghostie Gadget - Friday 27th October 2023
Description : Halloween's nearly here and we want to build something spooky. How about a ghostie gadget? It will spin, squeal, and spook you if you make it jump with a clap! For this activity we'll be turning our classroom into an Electronics Lab. We'll have soldering stations set up and our in-house elecetronics expert will help you assemble, solder and test your Ghostie Gadget kit ready to take home with you. Ideal for budding engineers or anyone interested in learning to solder, this is an ideal project to digitise your Halloween! We'll provide all the components and tools you need. Just come along and enjoy the creativity of making your own electronic circuit. No electronics experience is required, although you will need a steady hand. This is a lively and challenging workshop aimed at children aged 9 years and older. This workshop session is priced at £30 per participant and includes the cost of the kit and entry to the museum! For participants under the age of 14, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £10. Date: Friday 27th October 2023 This workshop will start promptly at 11 am, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Please note: Whilst we'll make every effort to help ensure your game works, careful assembly and soldering is required and we cannot be held responsible for any non-working kits due to poor assembly. Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
