The Game Boy was based around an 8-bit Z80 processor. It had a monochrome LCD display and 4-channel stereo sound. Original Game Boy consoles were bundled with the puzzle game Tetris, an addictive game developed in 1985 by Russian mathematician Alexey Pazhitnov.
