Spelling Bee(Bot) - Tuesday 20th February 2024

Spelling Bee(Bot) - Tuesday 20th February 2024

Description :

Bee-Bot is learning to spell.  It works hard but finds some words tricky.  Is it 'ful' or 'full', 'friend' or 'freind'?   Poor Bee-Bot!  Would you like to help Bee-Bot learn how to spell?

The only catch is that Bee-Bot is a robot and needs instructions to find all the letters to spell our words.  A set of instructions is called an algorithm.  Come and find out about algorithms and how you can use these to code in this fun activity!

The session is aimed at children aged 5-7 years and is ideal for children at the KS1 level.

This is not a booked event.   However, we will need to limit numbers due to the number of Bee-Bots available.  Therefore, please ensure that you register your interest for this activity at the front desk as soon as you arrive at the museum.

There is no additional charge for the activity but standard museum entry fees apply. The children must be accompanied by an adult who will attend the workshop alongside them.

Date: Tuesday 20th February 2024

Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am.
