Description : In this hands-on workshop, we will understand what an algorithm is and how important it is to write a correct algorithm in order to make a computer do a particular task. We will start by exploring algorithms that occur in our daily lives and then use this knowledge to teach a 30-year old BBC Micro computer to count! The session is aimed at children aged 8 years and older and is ideal for children at the upper KS2 level. The fee is £12 per participant in this workshop. For participants under the age of 14, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £10. Date: Tuesday 2nd April 2024 This workshop will start at 2 pm promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately.
