Penny sweets were a thing and Woolworths was still on your local high street. My Little Pony and He-Man were the 'in thing'.. .. And in the US the Amiga was launched, to then land in the UK a year later Come and join us for a weekend of fun, with great exhibitions from throughout the scene for a weekend of celebrating all things Amiga. Get hands on with machines from across the Amiga timeline along with some of its most beloved software. It’s an event you won’t want to miss Also on Saturday, from 3pm, we have a fantastic panel line up featuring…. Andrew Barnabus A musical composer, famed for his work with Amiga. Andrew had his musical debut on the Amiga with SWIV, as well as creating the title music for Aladdin and many more. More recent recent pieces included the symphonic scores on the MediEvil series and the BAFTA nominated Primal Jon Hare As co-founder of Sensible Software in Cambridgeshire Jon designed many Amiga classics including Sensible Soccer, Cannon Fodder, Mega lo Mania, Wizkid and Shoot 'Em Up Construction Kit. Stoo Cambridge As an artist, and computer graphics artist, Stoo is famous in the Amiga world for his work with Sensible Software and Sensible Golf, producing the graphics for games such as Cannon Fodder, The Executioner and Sensible World of Soccer, amongst other titles. Stoo is also currently working on an exciting new game with Tony Warriner, UrbX Warriors! Tony Warriner Game designer, programmer and Co-founder of Revolution Software, Tony worked on many notable Point and Click games, including Beneath a Steel Sky, and Lure of the Temptress. And though not on the Amiga, it would be wrong to not mention his work on the Broken Sword series! And to top it all off, Tony is now working in partnership with Stoo on UrbX Warriors!
And then from 4pm, there will be a couple of great talks from ‘Barn’ about games and the demo scene, and Jon Hare talking about Sensible Software, all to be followed by a musical feast starting with an amazing acoustic set from Jon and Andrew 'Barn' Barnabas playing a range of Sensible's greatest hits and more, and continuing on with the funky, electronic music of DJ Hoffman creating an Amiga powered storm!
