An ICL document titled 'GENERAL NOTICE 3' 'Tape Serial Numbers'. The document explains that

'When LEO III machines were initially installed, the Company allocated one or more ranges of tape serial number to each site. As a result of response to a recent letter from the Company it is now clear that this central control no longer exists'.

The document proposes that individual users assume responsibility for ensuring there are no duplications. Includes a list of users with their site and tape serial numbers
