The game was programmed by David G. Johnson, he programmed two games for the ZX Spectrum which were 'Golf' and '747 Flight Simulator'.

An advert for the game in the magazine 'Personal Computer Games' Issue 6 in 1984 says "Enjoy a game of golf in the comfort of your own home! With the choice of a 9 or 18 hole course and the challenge of Fairway, Rough, Trees, Bunkers, Water & Green. Displays are in realistic colour graphics with full score cards. No two games are alike!"
