Visits During COVID-19
Opening Times / Bookings
The museum made online booking available to monitor the number of visitors in the museum. We found by the end of August 2021 that this was no longer necessary. From 1st September 2021 we ask general museum visitors to return to just turning up and purchasing tickets on the day of their visit. We are open Wednesday to Sunday. Booking ahead is still required for events and workshops.
If You Have ANY Symptoms
Please DO NOT visit if you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19, and stay at home. We are a small team here, that could quite easily be disrupted by an out break of Covid.
When you arrive at the museum we would respectfully ask you to clean your hands at our hand sanitiser station. Other hand sanitiser stations will be positioned around the museum for you to use. Please remember that there are lots of keyboards, controllers and mice in the museum that are tricky to clean, so ensuring your hands remain clean throughout your visit is essential.
The toilets will be open as usual.
We are trying to make sure your visit to the museum is as unaffected as possible but there will be one item not available for use. This is the Virtual Reality exhibit (that requires a headset to be worn), this has been replaced by our Eyetoy Exhibit. Our popular 'pixel wall' that uses lots of small plastic pieces to make an image has returned.
Café & Shop
Our café tables have returned. Sweets, crisps and hot & cold drinks will be available.
We can now accept cash, but card payments are preferred.
