Peter Molyneux's Lionhead Studios bold and ambitions action RPG. Purported to be a vast, era-spanning adventure by the developers, Fable instead is a solid and humorous role playing game. The game starts with the protagonist at a young age, whose actions affect the latter portion of the game. Talk of dropped acorns growing into mighty oaks, aging pets and the inclusion of dragons created some ill will when the game arrived and these features were absent.
