Programming in ANSI Standard C Date: 1991 Programming in ANSI Standard C

This book takes a novice, with some experience of BASIC and operating systems, up to a good working knowledge of the C language. The standards of the ANSI version 3 dialect of C are adhered to throughout.

Rather than just define the syntax of C, as in a language manual, this book uses well-chosen examples that are easy to follow, and are often useful in their own right. Well over 100 programs are used to illustrate the various features of the language.

Topics include: the pre-processor; declaring data types, variable storage; functions and macros; pointers; arrays; character strings; data structures; file handling; printing techniques and problems; graphics. Numerous appendices provide rapid access to quick-reference information.
