The Nintendo DSi is the third iteration of Nintendo's dual screen handheld console - the Nintendo DS. It was launched in Japan on November 1st 2008, then later released worldwide in April 2009.
The DSi features two cameras, an online store where players can purchase and download games, and supports internal and external content storage.
This console supports exclusive physical media as well as DS games, with a few exceptions of early DS games which required the GBA slot.
Nintendo also produced the DSi XL which features a bigger screen. In total, they sold over 41 million DSi and DSi XL consoles.
