Sir Clive Sinclair organized a new company in 1985, Anamartic, to produce the design of Wafer-scale integration, WSI for short, which was as yet an unused system of building very-large integrated circuit networks that use an entire silicon wafer to produce a single "super-chip". Anamartic is 13%-owned by Fujitsu Ltd and 19% by Tandem Computers Inc.

A crash in RAM prices soon rendered the entire system infeasible.
